Call for papers – LSPHE 2018

We are pleased to announce that the fourth edition of the Languages for Specific Purposes in Higher Education conference, LSPHE2018, will be held at the University of Leeds on Friday 14th September 2018.

We would like to invite contributions from colleagues across the UK, Ireland and/or abroad. Presentations will be 20 minutes in length, followed by 10 minutes of questions/discussion.

Please send a brief proposal (up to 150 words) through the Contact page by 31st March 2018.

Contributions may focus on, but are not limited to, the following LSP-related themes:

  • Teaching practice & methodology
  • Developing students’ skills
  • Curriculum design
  • Assessment
  • ICT
  • Teacher’s role and skills

The conference will start at 9.15 am and finish at 5.00 pm. There will be a £20 registration fee, which includes lunch and refreshments.

This year, we are hoping to offer a range of workshops focussing on different LSP subject areas (humanities, medicine, business, STEM, …). More details will be provided in due course.

Further information regarding registration, alongside a provisional programme, will be posted on this website early April.

We are looking forward to hearing from you and receiving your proposals.
